The CW Keller design assist effort for the 6th Street Viaduct replacement project was a multi phase project. The centerpiece of this project was the development of a fabrication tolerance model of all cast in place concrete surfaces. The process of developing this initial model included normalizing geometric anomalies across numerous unique structural profiles, testing of 2D structural drawings against 3D design characteristics as well as technical design and budget analysis for unique cast in place form systems. During subsequent phases CW Keller developed a comprehensive rebar and post tensioning systems model in addition to substantial modeling of MEP systems to resolve material conflicts and evaluate construction sequencing.
